Network marketing, also known as multi-level marketing or MLM, is considered one of the most rewarding home business opportunities for some people. But like any business needs capital and hard work and do not let any body tell you otherwise.

In network marketing you have to recruite people for your so-called downline, they have to the same and keep on doing it. No single person starting an online business has a downline and this is only achieved through advertising. There are ways suggested, like Traffic Exchanges, Viral list building and the most expensive of all PPC advertising.

Look Out For the following promises:

A great sales page with an introduction video with promises that this network marketing system is the mother off all. Many income streams you only need to spend so much on advertising your network affiliate page and within a week you will see more than the return on your money and initial investment.

This model promises no cold calling no selling to family and friends and only two or three hours of work every week. Surely there are a lot of successful network marketers out there but for the beginner it could be a nightmare getting sucked in deeper and deeper as they try to succeed. Only to end up maxing out their credit card.

My advice is to start with something simple before attempting network marketing. For instance try plain ordinary affiliate marketing.
